Frequently Asked Questions

What is the check-in and check-out time?
Guests may check in after 4pm unless prior arrangements are made. Guests are asked to check out before 11am to allow rooms to be readied for our next guests.

Do the rooms have private baths?
All of our bedrooms have private baths. The Country Garden Suite has a private attached bathroom. The bathrooms for the Rose Room and the Angel Room are private/detached.

Are any of the bedrooms located on the first floor?
All of our bedrooms are located on the second floor.

How many people are allowed in a room?
Our rooms are all double occupancy. There is a day bed in the sitting room in the Country Garden Suite which could accomodate a person for an additional $15 per day charge. Children under 3 sleeping in the crib/playpen are free.

Do any of the rooms allow smoking?
Smoking is not allowed in the inn. There are receptacles for your convenience on the porch.

Does your inn allow pets?
We do not allow pets in the bedrooms. We will happily provide the phone number of the local boarding kennel.

Will you allow children in your inn?
Well-behaved children are always welcome at The Happy Horse. The Country Garden Suite is furnished with a day bed in an adjoining room suitable for a child or an accompanying adult. A crib/playpen is available for younger children in all rooms.

I am on a special diet. Can I make arrangements for a specific breakfast?
We will do our best to accomodate all special dietary needs and allergies, but we do request that we are notified in advance, such as when making the reservation or no later than when checking in, in order to fully adjust the menu.

Do you give a discount for AARP members?
We do not give a discount for any specific organization, but we offer discounts for seasonal occasions or for specified events. Please check our Home page for any discounts or special offers.

at our location the day before or
the day of your arrival,
